About the project

All EU member company’s face a very severe period not only generated by the economic burden but as well at the level of social and environmental response. The most important problem is connected to the resources and the way they can ensure a proper resource management on entire value chain. There is a clear need, for our companies to do more and better with less resources targeting not only economic development, but as well human welfare and pollution decrease along all value chains. If a big company has no problem to do so, start uppers, small companies cannot do it without a proper training and so the idea of this project emerged.

DISCERN project is targeting VET institutions to develop a competence framework concentrating on the topics of circular economy, climate change and sustainable development, taking into consideration the digital transformation of the entire EU economic and social environment. Another group to benefit from the project are SMEs, start-uppers and entrepreneurs. Thus, they will be provided with materials and guidance supporting their professional activities that are in compliance with the strategies of sustainable development and respecting the new postulates of the EU on ecological transition in a digital world.

The DISCERN consortium has been built based on the principle of complementarity of skills and experience around the main objective of the project. All project results will be available as Open Educational Resources in the six languages of the partnership, apart from English.
